  1. The country that I was assigned by Ms. Shoniker is called Yemen. The population in Yemen is 23,495,361. Yemen is located in the Middle East. The flag's appearance is three equal horizontal bands of red(top), white(middle) and black(bottom); the band colours are derived from the Arab Liberation flag and represent oppression(black), overcome through bloody struggle(red), to be replaced by a bright future(white). Yemen's official language is Arabic. The literacy rate for the people who live in Yemen are for male 70.5% and for female 30%. Over the total population, the literacy rate is 50.2%. Their expenditures in education is 5.2% of GDP. The school expentancy for males is 11 years but for woman it is only 7 years. In total of all the population of Yemen the school expentancy is 9 years.

    That is all for now!

  11. Nicaragua is a small country in central America. It's population is 5,742,800 (as of 2008). The National language is Spanish and it's main problem is drugs/poverty. Its literacy rate has drastically increased to around 68%, but this number needs to continue to rise!

  13. Hallelujah!!! I finally got this account to work! Anyways, my country is Brazil and its continent is South America. It has a population of 201 103 330, and it`s a very unique country. Its flag is very colorful and it has a lot of meaning to it. It has a dark green background and yellow diamond in the middle. There`s a blue circle with a white strip through the middle that says ORDEM E PROGRESSO. On that blue circle, there are 27 white five-pointed stars. The green represents the forests of the country. the yellow diamond represents it`s mineral wealth. The blue circle represents the sky over Rio de Janeiro on the morning of the 15th of November 1886; the day the Republic of Brazil was declared. Lastly, the 27 white five-pointed stars represent each state and the Federal District. The official and most spoken language they speak in Brazil is Portuguese. Now, what really surprised me was the literacy rate and the life expectancy of Brazil. Males have a literacy rate of 88.4%, and females a literacy rate is 88.8%. The life expectancy for males is 68.7yrs, and woman live for 76%yrs. For Brazil, the GDP per capita is 10 900$ (in 2010 US dollars). Sadly the rate of people living under the poverty line is 26%. To finish off the information I have for now is the expenditure on education which, unfortunately, is only 5.2% of GDP.
