The singer uses the lyrics of the track, which was released in February, to call for equal rights for the gay community.

Gaga has now confirmed she is using a remix of the anthem, The Country Road Version, to raise cash for the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), which helps youngsters at school deal with bullying.

A girl named Courtney, killed herself a month before her graduation of High School. She killed herself because she got bullied and it was too much for her. After being bullied, she was too afraid to go outside even for her family's dog she loved. Even the puppy she had. Bullying was just too much for her, so she decided to kill herself next to her boyfriend.

This story reminds me of some people who felt the same way and killed themselves. The bullying was really big to them.

    Reflect:
    1. How can we make people to stop bullying others?
    2. How would they feel after a person killing themselves after being bullied by the bully.
    3. What do you think will happen if people don't change and every bullied killed themselves?

I’ve left the office in tears on several occasions. The first time it happened,She approached me in the staff lounge at lunch and made a cutting remark about my hair. When I asked what I had done to make her feel that way, she said she had a right to feel any way she wishes. 19. R: This article is about the soon to be Princess Kate Middleton who has requested that the 1,900 guests to her and Price William's wedding to donate to an anti-bullying fund instead of bringing in gifts. This is not only because of Pink Day but also to the fact that she was bullied at the age of 13. The royal couple has designated/selected 26 charitable organizations. "The couple has chosen organizations that resonate with each of them to be part of what is called the Royal Wedding Charitable Gift Fund."

R: Bullying is a serious issue and there are certain organizations out there that make it a mission in their life to make it unacceptable in many places such as school. I would have also done the same as Princess Kate Middleton and donated it to charitable organizations as this is a past, present and future concern for every child and adult. I will also know that the money will be spent to make a huge difference in the world for many children.

    R: 1.Are the organizations global?

    2. Are the organizations supporting anti-bullying outside of Britain.

  27. The article I chose was Work Place Bullying. I think it's an extremely sad situation that the victum is being put in. All he wants is to get a good career, and everything seemed perfect until that bully decided to hurt an inncoent co-worker. I could connect that to an everyday life style at school. One day, you could be having a good time with your friends at school, and then a mean person ruins your awful mood. It's really no way to treat people- we should all think before we speak or act. And that's what the bully in that situation should do too- she should imagine herself in the victims shoes, and I'm sure she would feel awful if that happened to her.

  28. The article "Bullied student tickled pink by schoolmates' T-shirt campaign", one student (a boy), wore a pink tee shirt school. He got called homosexual and gay. To help him, two older students decided to wear pink shirts. Now, pink shirt day is a worldwide event that helps stop bullying. This article reminds me of a video that we saw in health class about bullying. It said to find allies to help you because it's easier to bully 1 than to bully more.

In the article "Girl Bullied to Death", Courtney, a victim of bullying, got harrassed so much to the point that she killed herself. This reminds me of the guest speaker, Mr. Brown. He remembered being bullied even after 30 years.

  29. Retell: In the article "Girl Bullied To Death..." a 17 year old girl, Courtny was being bullied to a point where she killed herself. But befor that hars decision, she wouldn't even take her dogs out for a walk because she was so scared. The article also says that her boyfriend had died the summer befor her death, due to a car accident, and she was dealing with that, which added onto the stress.

Relate: Bulling is a serious issue in the world, and not many people relise just how seriously awful it is until it's too late (like in courtny's case). Courtny's school should have been more aware of how serious the bulling was. But they weren't. And that caused serious problemes. Just because you don't see it happening, doesn't mean it's not happening.

I think that this article is about how teenagers feel left out from friends, hurt, isolated etc.People from Kids help phone Canada say that only 6 percent of the calls are from bulling.A lot of teens are being treated with disrespect online including on facebook were people write information that make people feel isolated. I can relate to the world because it is very sad that a lot of teens are being bullied every day, and maybe they don't even have any support from their family also. When I reflect on bullying i think that it needs to stop because it is not nice to judge people from how they look dress or anything. 42. I have just read an article about a 17-year old girl that got bullied to death. It was really sad because she was just a few months away from graduating from her school, and she just got so tired of being bullied constantly so she just took her life. she got bullied online and in person. even though she tried telling them to stop, they would bully her even more, and even call her names, and sometimes even push and shove her. many kids from all over the world are being bullied and they're taking their lives. When peoole are being bullied constantly, it means that the bully is doing it over and over and he/she wont stop and they will sometimes hurt you if you dont cope with them or listen to what they are saying and doing what they ask you to. bullying is caused by practically ANYTHING! someone could be jealous of you, they could bully you because you dress weird, they could bully you because you are short, or you have funny hair,or possibly anything. when someone bullies someone it is mostly because when they were younger, they were bullied themselves and they just want to get revenge, and take their anger out at you.

  43. "Author says bullying is about ruined relationships"
Author Rachel Simmons spoke out to a crowd of teen girls and their mothers and said that bullying isn't about what is spoken, it's about ruined relationships. She says that bullying makes relationships and reputaions worse. People only think about their reputation, and since you want to be the best, you put others down so you can feel better. Rachel Simmons says that social media (facebook, msn, twiiter...) lets you share parts of your life, but you also use it to compare yourself to others, and sometimes you don't like the information that you get when you compare yourself. She says that parents should keep an eye out on what their children are doing on socail media, and also in real life.

At first, I didn't get what the author meant because she said "Bullying is about ruined relationships." Once I thought about it and started reading the article, I knew what it meant. If you're friends with someone and you always compare yourself to them, you are most likely to get put down. If you ask questions, you are more likely to get bullied.

I think that this quote has a huge impact on teens because they always like to compare themselves to everyone, and want to be "cool". But once they start asking if they are like others and if they're "cool", they just start getting put down and bullied because they aren't like other people.

Why do people always want to compare themseleves, instead of thinking about who they really are?

Police are still on the case and are investigating her cell phone and her laptop for further information.
